GOLDEN DAWN
+ ABOUT THE ARTWORK
With Golden Dawn, I wanted to capture that particular feeling of a new beginning — the moment when something is about to change and a new possibility slowly begins to appear.
While painting, I imagined the three figures looking towards the rising light together, sharing the same moment of expectation. For me, this makes the experience less individual and more about the feeling of moving forward together, remaining open to what may come.
I wanted the upward movement of the composition to express a sense of anticipation, while the light became a symbol of renewal and possibility. The geometric forms give the painting a sense of structure and balance, while the vivid colors bring energy and warmth to the moment.
By leaving the figures without defined faces, I wanted them to remain open and universal, rather than representing particular people. They can become anyone who has experienced that feeling of looking ahead with curiosity and hope.
For me, Golden Dawn is about the human ability to look forward, to remain open to change and to discover that hope can become even more meaningful when it is shared with others.
