WALKING AROUND
+ ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Walking Around reflects on the rhythm of moving through everyday life and on the quiet encounters that take place along the way. I wanted to capture the feeling of walking together, sharing the same space while observing the world from a common, contemplative perspective.
The geometric figures and overlapping forms create a sense of continuous movement, as though the scene were unfolding while the people move through it. Rather than depicting a specific place or particular individuals, I was interested in the atmosphere created when different presences briefly come together.
The composition allows the forms to flow into one another, creating a visual rhythm that echoes the natural pace of walking. The transparency of watercolor adds lightness to the scene, while the geometric structure gives it a sense of balance and direction.
Walking Around evokes the quiet pleasure of moving through the world together, each person following their own path while remaining part of the same shared experience.
