WHISPERS UNDER THE PINK CLOUD
+ ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Whispers Under the Pink Cloud explores a quiet moment of attention and exchange between people. I imagined the figures as participants in a silent conversation, where what is communicated is not necessarily expressed through words but through presence, gestures and the direction of their gaze.
The three figures facing towards the fourth create a sense of anticipation, as though something is about to be shared or revealed. Above them, the large pink cloud becomes an element of imagination and interpretation. Its yellow circular form may suggest the sun, while the surrounding lines introduce another layer of visual language, leaving the meaning deliberately open.
The broad vertical bands of color, which recur in my work, frame the central scene and create a rhythm within the panoramic composition. The figures remain stylized rather than individual portraits, while their colorful clothing and carefully designed hairstyles give each one a distinct presence.
For me, the painting is about the subtle space between people — those moments when attention, curiosity and unspoken communication create a connection before anything is actually said.
