CHAT
+ ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Chat is inspired by the intimacy of an everyday conversation. The figures meet beneath a warm, radiant sun, whose light fills the scene with a feeling of warmth and openness. The same warmth is echoed in the colors of the figures, creating a harmonious atmosphere throughout the composition.
Their simplified profiles leave the conversation open to interpretation, while details such as colorful earrings and distinctive headwear give each figure an individual character. The scene is not intended to portray particular people, but to evoke a familiar human experience: talking, listening and giving attention to another person.
For me, conversation is a form of presence. Even a simple exchange can create a meaningful connection. The combination of sunlight, warm colors and flowing forms reinforces the light and intimate feeling of the work.
