ENDLESS LIGHT
+ ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In Endless Light, I wanted to bring to the canvas the sense of infinite light that can be felt when looking out over a vast panorama, perhaps from the top of a mountain. It is not the landscape itself that I wanted to represent, but the feeling it can awaken within us: a suspended moment of anticipation, almost holding our breath, when simply turning our gaze towards the horizon can fill us with light and wonder.
The figures are not intended as realistic representations of the human body. They are symbolic presences, sharing the same moment of contemplation and looking towards the same open space. Their upward gaze expresses a sense of openness towards the infinite, towards light and towards life itself.
Through these figures, I wanted to express the human desire to look ahead. Light becomes a symbol of hope and of the strength to continue, reminding us to keep our gaze upward, towards what gives us the feeling that there is always more to discover, more to experience and more life ahead.
