FRIENDS FOREVER
+ ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This watercolor grew from my desire to capture the warmth of friendship and the quiet understanding that can develop between people over time.
I wanted to express a relationship that does not always need words — the comfort of being together, sharing experiences and simply knowing that another person is there. For me, friendship is built through these seemingly small moments, which can become deeply meaningful.
While painting, I allowed the transparent watercolor layers to develop gradually, creating a gentle interplay of color and light. The simplified figures became less about individual identity and more about the universal feeling of closeness and companionship.
Friends Forever was also recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in Fine Arts, an acknowledgement of the work's artistic and conceptual qualities.
I remember imagining Friends Forever as three close friends gathered together, almost naturally drawn towards one another. Their closeness became an essential part of the painting, expressing the warmth, trust and affection that can grow from a true friendship.
