I HAVE A DREAM
+ ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I Have a Dream was born from a feeling that is difficult to define completely: a moment in which the present seems to meet something remembered, imagined or perhaps only sensed. The two figures facing one another appear caught in a quiet dialogue, as though they were sharing a memory, a thought or something that belongs to both of them.
Around them, some forms seem almost suspended between appearing and disappearing. A distant figure or image emerges in the background, while the geometric elements seem to rise and hover within the composition. I wanted to leave these forms open to interpretation, creating a space between reality, memory and imagination.
The circular shapes and the upward movement of the composition suggest the passage of time, but also the return of something that has not completely disappeared. The dialogue between the two figures therefore becomes more than a simple conversation: it can suggest a shared past, an emotion remembered, or a dream that continues to live in the present.
The title I Have a Dream refers to this uncertain space between what has been, what is and what might still be. Rather than telling a precise story, the painting invites the viewer to enter that suspended moment and decide what the figures might be remembering, imagining or quietly sharing.
