THE NEWS
+ ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This watercolor explores the moment when an idea, a story or a piece of information is shared within a group. I was interested in that familiar human experience of gathering around something that captures our attention and creates a reason to communicate with one another.
The geometric figures lean towards each other, suggesting curiosity and collective focus. Rather than representing specific individuals, they become part of a shared situation in which information moves from one person to another and gradually becomes a common experience.
The composition is built around the relationships between the figures, their gestures and their proximity. Their stylized forms leave room for the viewer to imagine what is being discussed and how each person might be responding to what they hear.
The News is not simply about receiving information. It is about the human desire to connect, to share stories and to process experiences together.
